Our coaching philosophy is to not only make better swimmers be to also make better people. We will hold each swimmer to a high standard of integrity, positivity, work ethic, and good sportsmanship.
Coach Rebecca is a Southampton native who’s been part of the neighborhood swim team since its very beginning—she joined as a swimmer while still in middle school! A graduate of Ardrey Kell High School and Western Carolina University, Rebecca now brings her love of teaching to the classroom as a 1st grade teacher in Lancaster, SC.
A longtime swimmer and former member of the AK swim team, Rebecca especially enjoys coaching backstroke and relays, and finds joy in watching swimmers grow and improve throughout the season. Her dedication to each swimmer’s progress is what makes her such a valued member of the coaching staff.
When she’s not on the pool deck or in the classroom, Rebecca loves shopping and spending time with her friends and family. Exciting news: her family is growing—she’s expecting her first child in October!
A Charlotte native through and through, Coach Sidney grew up in Southampton and recently relocated to SouthPark. A proud graduate of Ardrey Kell High School and Appalachian State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (2023) and a Master of Arts in Literacy Education (2024). During the school year, she brings her passion for learning to the classroom as a 1st grade teacher at Pineville Elementary.
Coach Sidney has 5 years of swim coaching experience and a lifelong love for the sport. A former varsity swim team captain at Ardrey Kell, she thrives in the unique balance of teamwork and individual achievement that swimming offers. She’s especially excited to reconnect with returning swimmers and help new ones build skills, confidence, and friendships over the course of the season.
Outside the pool and classroom, Sidney enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her family. A fun fact: she and Coach Paige are both dual citizens of the United Kingdom!
Coach Paige has called Southampton home her entire life! A proud graduate of Ardrey Kell High School and Appalachian State University, she’s currently in nursing school and works as a certified nursing assistant, dedicated to helping others both in and out of the water.
With 5 years of coaching experience, Coach Paige loves watching swimmers grow throughout the season—not just in skill, but in confidence and character. She’s excited to reconnect with returning swimmers and meet new ones, building a supportive and fun team environment for all.
A former swim team captain at Ardrey Kell, Paige brings strong leadership and a lifelong love of swimming to every practice. When she’s not at the pool, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family and friends. She’s also a dual citizen of the UK and USA!
Hailing from Charlotte’s Southampton neighborhood, Coach Arpeet brings a strong blend of athletic leadership and professional discipline to the pool deck. A graduate of Ardrey Kell High School and the University of Rochester, Arpeet was a two-year captain of his collegiate swim team, where he notched numerous personal bests and built friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
With 6 years of coaching experience, Arpeet is passionate about creating a team environment that fosters both personal growth and lasting camaraderie. When he’s not on deck, Arpeet works as an Applications Engineer at Cognex, helping bring automation solutions to the logistics industry.
A sports enthusiast at heart, Arpeet enjoys golf, all things athletic, and the occasional adrenaline rush—he’s even been skydiving and bungee jumping!
As with our other coaches, Armaan began swimming at Southampton when he was 5 years old. He has consistently earned the "high point" award for Southampton and holds many team records. He is looking forward to meeting new swimmers and seeing old faces. Fun fact - Armaan has the Michael Phelps suit that he wore in the Olympics!
Coach Kyle lives in Kingston Forest and is a proud Ardrey Kell graduate. He is heading to UNC Wilmington this fall! With 12 years of swim experience under his belt, Kyle brings a passion for the sport—especially freestyle and backstroke—and a love for being around people and building team spirit.
When he's not coaching, Kyle works in the VIP suites at Bank of America Stadium and at Potbelly Sandwich Shop, always keeping busy and connected to his community. He’s especially excited this season to work with young swimmers and to coach his younger brother, Luke—while helping lead the team to big wins through energy and encouragement.
Outside the pool, you’ll find Kyle playing basketball, swimming, gaming, or enjoying a good round of UNO with his family. He’s a huge Ohio State Buckeyes fan!!
Coach Grayson is a Charlotte native and current high school student with 6 years of swim experience. A familiar face on the Southampton team, Grayson has made waves with standout achievements—including earning a Junior National cut.
Grayson brings energy and enthusiasm to the team, especially when it comes to fun dives and meeting new people. With a love for swimming and a legacy in the sport (all three of Grayson’s sisters also swam for Southampton!), coaching feels like a natural fit.
Whether it’s helping swimmers improve or bringing fun to every meet, Grayson’s excited for another great season with the team.
Coach Paula is a current student at Indian Land High School. With 9 years of swim experience, Paula has been a consistent presence in the neighborhood swim scene, having swum on the team for many summers and competitively since 8th grade with her high school.
Paula’s favorite part of swimming is the strong sense of team spirit—she loves how everyone shows up to cheer each other on. This season, she’s especially excited to meet new swimmers and create fun, lasting memories together.
Outside the pool, Paula enjoys volunteering at local elementary schools, making bracelets, reading, and listening to music. She's passionate about working with both kids and animals and always brings joy and positivity wherever she goes.
