Hello Hurricanes!  Please find below the information for Thursday's meet:

Welcome to the Home of the Brace Y Fighting Bettas!! We are very excited to have your team at our pool. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!

1. Address – We are located at 9760 Happy Valley Drive, Charlotte, NC 28270. (Please note this is separate location than the main branch of Brace Family Y). The Hemby Program Center is the location for meets, aka our camp facility. Parents will need to be patient with staff as they come in. As you drive to the upper lot, please use the middle thru lane.

2. Parking - Please follow the path to the upper lot to park to include overflow on the fields. Use the middle lane for thru traffic. The lower lot is reserved for handicap parking only.

3. Arrival Time- Visiting Team Warm-ups are from 5:35 - 5:55 pm. You are welcome to arrive any time after 5:30 pm. Before that, we will be busy setting up.

4. Team Location – As you enter the lower pool, visitor side is to the left. The upper pool is closed during the meet. Clerk of Course is typically split. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

5. Concessions – Hungry Howie's truck and ice cream truck will be on site. You are welcome to bring a cooler, however, no glass containers.

6. Pool Rules - ONLY THE LAP POOL IS OPEN FOR OUR MEETS. The Upper Pool is closed.

7. Diving - We have blocks, If your swimmers are not comfortable diving off them, they are welcome to diver off the side or start in the water. We also do “dive overs”. Please instruct your swimmers finishing at the starting blocks to stay in the water until the next heat/event begins (unless it’s backstroke). 10 and under relays will need to use in-water starts.

8. Clerk of Course - Still deciding this year... we may utilize a split clerk of course and meet in the chairs behind the blocks.

9. Computer – The computer area is located on the pool deck.

10. Meet Changes - Please see our computer person for any needed changes.

11.Restrooms – They are located by the main gym, upper area of our campus behind the changing area.

12.Weather – Thunder – we are out of the pool for 30 minutes. Lightning – we have to clear the pool deck. We will relocate to the upper gym area or you may wait in your vehicles.

13. Timers - We will have a Timers meeting 20 minutes before the start of the meet. This will be in the upper pool area.

14. Stroke and Turn Judges - If any stroke and turn judges have any questions, please let us know.

15. Volunteers - We switch our volunteers after event 32 (End of Backstroke and before IM)
