Good Morning Hurricanes! 

As we wind down the season, I wanted to thank you all for your support this season.  This was my first season as Team Rep and while there were some bumps along the way, I am so happy we were able to get the kids in the water and have a semi-normal season (whatever that is!).  Looking toward next year, I would love to keep the team going.  I plan to stay on as Team Rep, in the hopes that we have families that will step up to help in the following committees.  Take a look at the general responsibilities/ expectations and send me an email if you are interested.  Thank you all in advance!!!

Team Rep - I would love to have two per season (me plus an additional for next year to train), on a 2 year staggered commitment. Oversees running of swim team including but not limited to:

-communication with team, coaches and GCSL (email, website, SwimTopia, etc)

-financials

-registration

-anything else that comes up!

HOA Liaison - *Must be a Southampton resident* - Communicates with the Southampton HOA on behalf of the swim team. Coordinates dates the pool is needed for practice, meets, suit fittings, etc. Works to ensure all neighborhood families are informed about registration.

Sponsorship/Fundraising Committee - Anything you can think of to help our swim team raise money!

Apparel Committee- Orders team shirts included in registration as well as any other “for purchase” items (parent shirts, swim caps, etc). Coordinates with Carolina Swim Shop (or other) for suit fittings at our open house, usually held in April.

Snack Bar Committee- Oversees all running of concessions including purchasing (on team credit card), inventory and general accounting of concession profits.

“Fun Committee” - Helps plan end of season party, team building efforts, etc. Whatever you think would build community and give the kids a fun season!

Computer - It would be fantastic if we could have another parent learn how to use the computer system for running the meets. Vaishali is our current computer whiz but would love to have some backup for the future!
